This Privacy Policy describes how StoryShort ("StoryShort," "the App," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our AI video generation mobile application (the "App").

1.1 Information You Provide
- Account information — such as your email address and password, or details from a third-party sign-in provider (e.g., Google Sign-In), if you create an account.

- Generated content — the videos, thumbnails, and other output created by the App based on your inputs.
- Support communications — information you provide when you contact us for help, such as your email address and the content of your message.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device information — device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and app version.
- Usage data — features used, templates selected, session length, crash logs, and general interaction data.
- Approximate location — derived from your IP address or device settings, if permitted by your device, used for general analytics (not precise GPS tracking unless explicitly requested by a feature).
1.3 Purchase Information
StoryShort offers in-app purchases and subscriptions processed through Google Play Billing. We do not directly collect or store your payment card details — these are handled by Google Play in accordance with their own privacy policy. We may receive limited transaction data (such as purchase confirmation, subscription status, and renewal dates) to manage your access to premium features.

3. AI Processing & Third-Party Service Providers
To generate videos, StoryShort sends your prompts, reference images, and/or audio files to third-party AI processing providers (for example, generative AI, image, and voice/audio processing services). These providers process your content solely to generate the output you requested.
- We select providers that maintain reasonable security and confidentiality standards.
- Your content may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence.
- Some providers may temporarily retain input/output data for abuse-monitoring or service-improvement purposes, subject to their own policies. We recommend not uploading highly sensitive personal content.
- We do not sell your prompts, images, or audio to third parties for advertising purposes.
Because the specific AI providers we use may change over time as we improve the App, we encourage you to check back on this policy periodically for updates.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- AI and cloud service providers who process content on our behalf to generate videos and host app infrastructure.
- Google Play, for billing, subscription management, and app distribution.
- Analytics and crash-reporting providers, to help us understand app performance and fix issues.
- Law enforcement or regulators, if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of StoryShort, our users, or the public.
- A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality obligations.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information and generated content for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the App's features. You may request deletion of your account and associated content at any time (see Section 7). Some information may be retained longer where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes, or where automatic backups have not yet been purged.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your personal information.
- Withdraw consent for optional data processing.
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Object to certain processing activities.

If we learn that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.
